Prerequisite: Grade of “C” or better in 8th grade Algebra I or a “C” or better in Math Concepts.
Semester A of this yearlong course will study patterns in math, algebraic operations, equations, and statistics. Semester B will study linear functions, inequalities and absolute values, graphing systems of equations, exponents, exponential functions, and probability. Real life applications are embedded throughout the curriculum. This class is the basis for all upper level math classes.
